What you'll do
C'est La Vie is a Fountaine Pajot Mahé 36 sailing catamaran, launched in 2015 and refitted in 2022, sailing with a dedicated crew from La Balise Marina in Black River. The day runs from 10am to 4pm along the sheltered west coast, with a snorkelling stop, a sail towards Crystal Rock or Le Morne Brabant and lunch served on board. The catamaran is yours for the day. The base price covers two guests, and each additional guest is Rs 4,250, with space for up to 13 guests. A premium lobster menu and a bottle of French Champagne can be added when you book.
Cast off from La Balise Marina
The crew welcomes you aboard with the whole catamaran to yourselves, and at 10am you slip out of the marina onto the west coast lagoon.
Snorkel the reef at La Preneuse
You drop anchor over clear water and slide in with masks and fins ready on deck, with the crew pointing out the best of the reef.
Sail for Crystal Rock or Le Morne
Under sail, the skipper reads the wind and picks the day's most beautiful water, beneath Le Morne Brabant or out to Crystal Rock.
A long lunch at anchor
Lunch is served on deck while the catamaran swings gently at anchor, with time for another swim before you move on.
An unhurried sail home
You ride the trade winds back down the coast and step ashore at La Balise Marina at 4pm, with the day still on your skin.
