Sightseeing tours in Mauritius
See the island the way most people actually want to, from the back of a car with someone else driving. Each tour runs a set route of landmarks and viewpoints, your driver collects you at your accommodation and brings you back, and the price covers the vehicle rather than each seat in it.
Why a driver rather than a hire car
Driving yourself works well for short coastal hops. It works less well for a day that crosses the island, where the interior roads are narrow, the viewpoints have no obvious parking and the distances look far shorter on a map than they feel from behind the wheel.
With a driver the day belongs to you rather than to the navigation. You sit longer at a viewpoint if you want to, the order of the stops can change around the weather, and nobody has to stay sober for the distillery tasting.
Good to know before you go
A full day is nine until five
The standard day runs from nine in the morning until five in the afternoon. An earlier start or a later finish is possible and is charged by the hour at a rate that depends on the vehicle.
The price covers the vehicle
You choose a vehicle rather than a number of tickets, so two people and the vehicle's full number pay the same. Vehicles run from a car for two or three passengers up to a coaster for fifteen.
Collected where you are staying
Your driver collects you at your accommodation and returns you there at the end of the day. Tell us where you are staying when you book.
Entry fees are paid at each site
The price covers the vehicle, the driver, fuel, tolls and parking. Admission to the sites along the route is paid at each gate and is not included.
