Choose a Le Morne introduction or beach ride

There are two separate land-riding experiences at Le Morne. The riding-area introduction and guided beach ride each cost MUR 4,300 for 30 minutes or MUR 5,600 for 60 minutes. The introduction takes place in the riding area; the beach ride follows a guided route toward the nearby beach. The longer introduction allows more time for guided exercises at the accepted level.

For a first ride, start with the introduction. Explain when you last rode and what you can do independently, including if you have never ridden. The team assesses your level before settling the pace. The catalogue’s Easy rating does not guarantee every option suits everyone. A longer beach ride does not promise a gallop, a fixed route or a fixed amount of time on the sand.

The land price includes guided riding and riding equipment. Long trousers and closed-toe shoes are mandatory. The experience begins with the level check and preparation and finishes back at the clubhouse. Guides speak French and have basic English; tell Andeor about any further language needs before booking.

Understand Le Morne's separate swimming options

The 60-minute beach-and-swimming option costs MUR 5,900 per adult and combines about 30 minutes of beach riding with about 30 minutes of horse swimming. The advanced 90-minute option costs MUR 6,400 and combines an hour of beach riding with about 30 minutes in the water. The extra MUR 500 adds riding time, not swimming time.

The partner checks every rider’s level. Intermediate or advanced riding ability, confidence in the water and balance on horseback are required; a few previous guided rides do not automatically qualify you. The 90-minute option is the advanced format. The catalogue describes horse swimming as moderate to challenging, and it is not a next step automatically included after an introduction.

The swimming price includes the guided beach ride and supervised horse-swimming session. Riders change into swimwear before entering the lagoon and the horses are prepared with suitable equipment. Swimwear, a towel and water shoes are recommended; allow time to change afterwards. Sea, tide, weather, lagoon conditions and other water activity can affect whether the session runs. Photographs do not confirm the conditions for your visit.

Consider Belle Mare for an east-coast horse ride

A one-hour beach ride at a walking pace

The classic beach horse ride in Belle Mare costs MUR 4,000 per adult for one hour and takes up to four riders. It welcomes beginners as well as experienced riders, subject to the guide's assessment. The ride stays at a walk; trotting, cantering and swimming are not included. A helmet and sanctuary visit are included. The maximum rider weight is 90 kg, compared with 95 kg for the Le Morne experiences.

A sunrise ride with conditional horse swimming

The sunrise horse ride and swimming in Belle Mare costs MUR 6,000 per adult for one hour. It is for intermediate and advanced riders who pass the guide's assessment, weigh no more than 90 kg, feel comfortable in the water and can keep their balance on horseback. Swimming depends on sea, tide and weather conditions. Trotting and cantering also depend on the assessment and conditions, so neither swimming nor faster paces are guaranteed.

Camera and drone packages are optional extras for both Belle Mare experiences. Child and infant places are not available to book online; Andeor can check an individual child's eligibility before booking. Choose from the published departures for your date. If the calendar has none, no departure is confirmed; an advertised duration or sunrise label does not establish availability.

Belle Mare is on the east coast and Le Morne in the southwest. Match the riding format to each person's ability, then compare the journey from your accommodation. Match the Le Morne timetable to your day

Both activities list Monday-to-Saturday operation. Land-riding departures are 13:30, 14:00, 15:00 and 16:00. The final sunset ride starts at 16:30 from May through October and 17:00 from November through April. The sunset label does not promise particular light or weather.

Horse swimming lists 08:00, 09:00 and 10:00 departures and must finish by 11:00. Plan the 90-minute option around 08:00 or 09:00; a 10:00 start only fits the 60-minute programme, subject to confirmation and conditions. The published times are a planning reference, not a booking confirmation.

Both experiences meet at the clubhouse on Route Royale on the Le Morne Peninsula. Use the meeting instructions and arrival margin confirmed for your booking. Include the journey, level assessment, preparation and changing time in your day rather than setting aside only the ride’s advertised duration.

Plan for every rider at Le Morne

At Le Morne, each rider must weigh no more than 95 kg. Land departures take up to eight participants, while swimming departures take up to four. A capacity limit is not a count of spaces currently available. If staying together matters, choose a format accepted for the least experienced rider; one person's ability cannot qualify the rest of the group.

Land riding and swimming run in the afternoon and morning respectively, so splitting your group does not mean simultaneous activities. Plan transport and meeting afterwards for participants and companions. For two adults, the listed rates give MUR 8,600 for a 30-minute land ride or MUR 11,800 for the 60-minute swimming programme. These are simple activity totals, without separately arranged transport.

Give Andeor each child’s age, weight and riding experience as well as any access or participation concerns. Child rates depend on the option and do not establish eligibility. The published information does not give a universal minimum age or height, and the extended introduction has no confirmed tourist child rate. Have the actual option and total confirmed for your party.

The water session is guided, but any specific swimming-proficiency requirement or individual participation need must be resolved for your booking.
