Does a whole-boat trip mean we can choose our own departure time or route?
The whole boat is reserved for your group of up to six guests. This experience follows an early-morning departure, with the exact time confirmed when your booking is accepted. The captain adapts the outing to sea conditions and wildlife movements. If you would like a different departure or route, Andeor can discuss your request with the crew before booking.
Are hotel transfers included in the four hours?
No. The four hours cover the boat outing from Black River, and hotel land transfers are not included in the boat price. Andeor can arrange your hotel transfers through Seke. Share your hotel and preferred boat trip with us so we can coordinate transport around the confirmed departure.
How do the two boats compare on price and inclusions?
Fleur de Sel is listed at MUR 22,000 and Oceanyka at MUR 25,000 for the whole boat, with up to six guests and four hours on the water. Both include Captain Amaury and his crew, fuel, safety equipment and life jackets. Fleur de Sel has a canopy over the helm; Oceanyka has an open deck without shade. Hotel transfers are separate, and food and drinks are excluded unless agreed when your request is accepted. The total is confirmed before payment.
Fleur de Sel is the covered sport fisher. Its canopy over the helm provides shade on board, making it our first option to consider when sun exposure is an important part of your decision. The trip lasts four hours and accommodates up to six guests.
Oceanyka has an open deck
Oceanyka is the open speedboat, with no canopy or shade on board. Bring a hat and sunscreen. It offers the same four-hour outing for up to six guests, so choosing the speedboat does not shorten the experience. Both boats venture into open water, where there is more movement than inside the lagoon.
Check the fit for your whole group
For a whole-boat outing, give the least comfortable person’s needs as much weight as the keenest wildlife watcher’s wishes. Four hours aboard may appeal to some travellers more than others. With children, consider whether they would enjoy time on the water during stretches without animals to watch.

Spinner and bottlenose dolphins live off the west coast throughout the year. The humpback whale season for this experience runs from June to November. If humpbacks are your main reason for going, plan within that window while keeping in mind that each outing depends on wild animals and sea conditions.

A completed wildlife-watching outing can take place without a dolphin or whale sighting. Sightings are not guaranteed, and any refund or repeat-trip entitlement depends on the terms of your booking. We recommend choosing this trip only if your group would also enjoy the time on the water.
Watch wildlife from the boat
