Flying as a Couple in Mauritius by Helicopter or Seaplane
Sharing a flight does not always mean sharing an aircraft. Here is how to plan a scenic flight for two, from seats and departure points to the total budget.
Aerial view of the underwater waterfall illusion beside the Le Morne peninsula
For a scenic flight as a couple in Mauritius, decide first whether you want to travel in the same aircraft. The helicopter flights offered by Andeor through its partner from Bel Ombre carry several passengers, while each seaplane offered through our partner from Grand Gaube carries one passenger beside the pilot. Two seaplanes can fly together when our seaplane partner confirms the arrangement. That distinction matters before you choose a route or compare the price for two.

FAQ
Can we fly together in two seaplanes?
Yes, our seaplane partner can operate up to two seaplanes together. Each carries one guest and a pilot. Our seaplane partner confirms the flight times; a requested simultaneous flight is not confirmed until the arrangement is accepted.
Do we need four people to book the shared helicopter?
You can book two seats. The Bel Ombre shared departure needs at least four seats sold in total, including other guests’ bookings. If that minimum is not reached, our helicopter partner offers the stated refund or next-day rescheduling option.
Does every seaplane flight visit the underwater waterfall?
No. Of the five Grand Gaube options, the 100-minute Le Morne route includes that viewpoint. The shorter flights visit other parts of the coast.
The seaplane has two seats in total, one for the pilot and one for a guest. A couple therefore books two passenger flights in separate aircraft. Up to two seaplanes can fly together, with the times confirmed by our seaplane partner. You each sit beside your own pilot and experience the flight individually.
Choose this format if the water take-off and the individual cockpit experience appeal to both of you. If being in one cabin is central to the occasion, a helicopter is the more suitable format. For a party of three or four, our seaplane partner operates two successive rounds rather than putting everyone in one seaplane.
Book two helicopter seats or a private flight
On the shared helicopter circuit from Bel Ombre, seats are sold individually and the helicopter carries up to six passengers. A couple can book two seats on the same departure. The flight needs at least four booked seats across all bookings, so you do not need to bring a party of four yourselves.
If the departure has fewer than four passengers, our helicopter partner informs guests on the morning of the flight and offers a full refund or a move to the following day. The private Bel Ombre option is sold per group and also accommodates up to six passengers. Both options describe an approximately 15-minute coastal circuit. A private booking changes who you share with; it does not add flight time. Our helicopter partner checks passenger weights before boarding, so a two-person booking does not guarantee particular seats.
Work out the full price for two
The Andeor catalogue checked on 11 October 2026 lists the shared Bel Ombre helicopter flight at MUR 11,714 per person, or MUR 23,428 for two. The private Bel Ombre flight is listed from MUR 47,000 per group. These are flight prices; hotel transfers and any separately charged hotel or landing fee are additional.
The 15-minute Île d’Ambre seaplane option is listed at MUR 8,730 per passenger, or MUR 17,460 for two separate seaplanes. The 100-minute Le Morne option is MUR 35,465 per passenger, or MUR 70,930 for two. Our seaplane partner prices its flights in euros, and the rupee amounts reflect the platform conversion. Recheck the selected option and booking total for your date. The shorter and longer routes cover different places, so a lower starting price is not the price of the underwater-waterfall flight.
Choose the route before arranging your day
For the underwater waterfall, the Bel Ombre helicopter follows the south-west coast past Baie du Cap, La Prairie and Îlot Fourneau on its approximately 15-minute circuit. The seaplane option that reaches Le Morne is the 100-minute itinerary from Grand Gaube, travelling along the east and south coasts. The 15-minute seaplane circuit visits Île d’Ambre instead.
Other seaplane choices are the Blue Hole at 30 minutes, Île aux Cerfs at 60 minutes and Île au Phare at 80 minutes. Our seaplane partner measures the stated duration from engine start to engine stop, including taxiing, take-off and landing. Road travel, reporting and the briefing need separate time. Flights depend on weather and operational conditions, and the waterfall’s appearance is not guaranteed.
Arrange the departure and transport together
The seaplane meeting point is our partner’s hangar at LUX* Grand Gaube. Enter through the hotel’s main gate, park and walk to the hangar beside the car park on the sea side. The listed passenger age range is 7 to 99 years, with a weight limit of 105 kg per passenger. Boarding involves the beach, the float and a step; tell Andeor about any assistance needs before booking.
For the helicopter, meet at Bel Ombre Heliport and follow the reporting instructions in your booking confirmation. Hotel transfers are excluded from both experiences. Andeor can arrange them through Seke as a separate service. Share your accommodation, preferred date and both passengers’ details so the flight and road journey can be coordinated.
