How far ahead should you book Mauritius excursions?
Prioritise fixed-date activities, genuine calendar availability and on-request arrangements without relying on invented sell-out claims.

Book around the constraints that are real for your trip. A fixed cruise call, a small-group activity and a flexible beach day do not need the same approach. There is no honest universal promise that every Mauritius excursion will be available a day ahead or sold out weeks ahead.
Start with the least flexible plans
Prioritise experiences tied to a specific date, location or group requirement. The Mahébourg cooking and lunch experiences require at least 24 hours' notice; that is a minimum booking condition, not a guarantee of availability. A special dietary adaptation or transport arrangement can also need confirmation before the rest of the day is fixed.
Read the calendar as it is
Use the actual date and party size. A published listing without a future departure does not have hidden morning or afternoon inventory. Do not arrive on the assumption that the calendar is merely incomplete. Ask Andeor about suitable alternatives or future dates. For and other on-request arrangements, a proposal must resolve the programme and price before it becomes a confirmed booking.
